Pre-Workout FAQ's
Do I need Pre-Workout?
Pre-workout supplements are not essential, and whether you need them depends on your individual fitness goals and preferences. That being said it is scientifically proven that pre-workout can be very beneficial for those looking for a boost in energy, focus, and performance in their workouts. A well-balanced diet and plenty hydration are also crucial for optimal results in the gym.
Is Pre-Workout just caffeine?
No, pre-workout at its core is a blend of amino acids that boost muscle performance in a variety of ways. Many pre-workouts also contain caffeine which most people are familiar with, but it has benefits past being a stimulant. The science shows that caffeine boosts metabolism, increases endurance, anaerobic performance and of course increases energy.
Is Pre-Workout creatine?
No, pre-workout is not creatine. While some pre-workout supplements may contain creatine we decided to not include it in our formula at all. We've found it's easier to supplement creatine on the side as the frequency of creatine consumption is key for its function as you need to keep your muscles saturated for it to remain effective.
How does Pre-Workout enhance performance?
Pre-workout supplements enhance performance with a combination of ingredients such as caffeine for energy and focus as well as a blend of amino acids which are nitric oxide boosters. These components work together to increase energy levels, improve focus, reduce fatigue, enhance blood flow to muscles, and boost endurance. All of these things contribute to better workouts and better time spent in the gym.
When do I take Pre-Workout?
It's best to take pre-workout supplements about 20-30 minutes before your workout. This allows the ingredients to be absorbed and take effect by the time you start exercising.
When taken dry our pre-workout can be taken right before a big lift as the effects are much more immediately noticeable. We always recommend washing down the dry Pre with a sip of water.
How long does Pre-Workout last?
The duration of the effects of pre-workout can vary based on a number of things. Typically, you can expect the energy-boosting effects to last for about 2 to 4 hours after consumption.
Our pre-workout also contains L-Theanine which is a amino acid that when used in combination with caffeine helps curb the typical "crash".
Why does Pre-Workout make you itch?
The "itching" sensation sometimes experienced after taking pre-workout is often due to a common ingredient called beta-alanine. Beta-alanine can cause a harmless and temporary tingling sensation on the skin. It usually subsides after just a couple of minutes as the Pre-Workout effects kick in.
We use a slightly lower amount of beta-alanine in our pre-workout as to reduce the flushing and tingling effects while maintaining its benefits.
Is it safe to take Pre-Workout supplements?
When used as directed and in moderation, pre-workout supplements are safe for most healthy individuals. However, it's crucial to follow dosage recommendations, be aware of your own tolerance, and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any underlying health conditions or concerns about potential interactions with medications. Always read the product label and choose reputable brands (like us) for added safety.
